About Blue Ridge School
Our comprehensive co-curricular program is essential to the learning and growth experience at Blue Ridge School. Sports, arts, clubs, service learning and social activities are all valuable vehicles for developing talents and interests that are a part of every boy. Co-curricular programs build self-esteem and develop skills in leadership and teamwork.
Blue Ridge School has been built upon the values of integrity, civility and a strong sense of work ethic. Our code of conduct is unique in the way that it is written for our students and the adult members of our community. Additionally our code incorporates the concept of Brothers' Keeper - promoting a peer culture of responsibility and obligation to each other.

• We are in constant pursuit of ways to “teach our boys to reach” in every aspect of their development. In every venue on every day of our school year, students are being challenged to do things that at one point in their lives they may have considered unattainable.

Mission Statement
We specifically focus on helping boys reach their potential through personalized, structured, innovative learning practices in a college preparatory, all-boarding community.
Within the context of our mission, we seek boys who:
• Respond well to personalized instruction. We emphasize and develop study habits, time management and organizational skills, while living in a close-knit boarding community. We try to develop a rapport with each student and to focus on individual growth.
• Are willing to grow and who are open to joining the Blue Ridge family. Each boy is accepted as a unique individual, is nurtured as a valued member of our community, and is expected to develop sound habits of mind, body, and spirit.
• Are honest and respectful of other people and their property. Our Code of Conduct, which includes an Honor Code and core values, emphasizes decency and civility as integral parts of the School culture.
• Will strive to fulfill their potential as learners and as leaders. We are a people-centered School. Our academic, spiritual, and co-curricular programs offer learning and leadership opportunities that stimulate personal growth, and develop the skills and willingness to positively influence others.
