Subiaco Academy

Subiaco Academy All-Boys Boarding School Information:
Mission
The Subiaco experience creates an opportunity for a sense of community which is a reflection of Catholic Benedictine values of service to God, respect for self and others, mutual support, and the value of work.
Philosophy
The primary objective of Subiaco Academy is to foster a system of education, guidance, and community fellowship that develops both the mind and body. To that end, all of the academic classes, religious activities, and extracurricular activities are designed to enhance a close fraternal and cooperative relationship built on mutual respect and Christian love.
Teachers and staff endeavor to communicate by their words and actions a sense of the spirit of St. Benedict, as expressed in his rule: a respect for the value of work, development of personal talents to serve others, a sense of peace and fraternity, self-discipline, trust, and an appreciation of the Christ centered nature of monastic communities.
Subiaco Academy admits male students of any race, color, creed, or national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the Academy. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, athletic policies, scholarship and student aid programs, and other school administered programs.
Benedictine Identity
The close-knit community of Subiaco is a reflection of the Catholic Benedictine values of service to God, respect for self and others, mutual support, and the value of work. Subiaco's faculty, comprised of dedicated monks and lay individuals, communicate by their words and actions the spirit of St. Benedict on a daily basis.
Academic Program
For over 120 years, Subiaco Academy has provided a personalized, well-rounded education for high school boys. The stable, structured environment at Subiaco affords young men the opportunity to better concentrate on their studies, making their academic training more successful. Over the past century, Subiaco's methods have been proven to better prepare young men for college and for life. Seniors at Subiaco have a 100% college acceptance rate and more than 80% of the seniors typically receive scholarships. Read here about the Class of 2009.
Student Life
Nestled against the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, the Subiaco campus provides young men a safe, healthy, and engaging environment. While other schools encourage students to narrow their scope of interests to one or two activities, Subiaco encourages and allows its young men to pursue as many interests as they like.
Student Success Team
Subiaco Academy is dedicated to helping each and every student reach his potential academically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. That is why we have a Student Success Team in place to ensure your child receives the support and guidance he needs throughout his high school experience.
