Valley International Academy

Valley International Academy Co-Ed Boarding School Information:
History
Kevin Sved, co-founder and head of the acclaimed The Accelerated School in Los Angeles, was chosen to serve as VIA's head of school. Soon after, he began developing the vision for an innovative, entrepreneurial high school that would combine both international and local students in a rigorous academic program. Throughout their tenure, students will be engaged in collaborative projects that address real-world issues. To complete this vision, VIA merged with School of Choice, founded by Robert Arne. School of Choice recently acquired Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) candidacy status and maintains its long-held ability to process I-20 visas for international students.
OUR MISSION
Valley International Academy seeks to develop students who will exemplify academic excellence, social responsibility, and global citizenship in a supportive, exciting, and international environment that inspires critical thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Student Activities
We will have opportunities for students to be involved in campus life through participating in athletic, arts, and local travel opportunities. In alignment with our mission and goals, VIA simultaneously engages students' interests while fostering new talents in order to develop leadership, social, and developmental skills in students- all while having fun!
Sample activities may include volleyball, recreational and structured swim time, service-learning activities, soccer, basketball, hiking, intercultural cooking and discussion activities, BBQs, dance, creative arts, and other outdoor activities involving the greater Bay Area.
Student Clubs
Student clubs include international student clubs, sports and recreational activities, service-learning ventures, computer and technology interests, art and dance clubs, and a variety of outdoor activities.=
